  • If you qualify for free lunch and your child/ren only takes milk at breakfast or lunch, they will be charged 40 cents.

Free and Reduced Lunch

A reminder that all families are encouraged to complete the free and/or reduced lunch application forms. Free and/or reduced lunch applications are mailed out in early August. Please fill those out immediately and return to Ms. Snapp as soon as possible so that your application can be processed on a timely basis. You should also note that only one application needs to be on file for the entire family. Therefore, if you have children in both buildings, you only need to submit one application. You may apply for free-reduced meals at any time during the school year if your household size goes up, income goes down, or if you are getting Foodshare, FDPIR or W-2 cash benefits. If you lose your job, your children may be able to get free or reduced meals

Record Keeping and Payments

Each family will have an account for the breakfast and lunch fee to be drawn from on the computerized school lunch program. The family will be asked to send money in advance, a minimum of $40.00 per student (unless qualifying for free or reduced). Families may pay larger amounts if they wish. The lunch money may be mailed in or brought to the school office. Please mark on the envelope "lunch program". If you are sending payment to school with your child, please make sure the student or family name is on the envelope. The student will be given an ID number and each time a student uses that number, the price of the meal will be subtracted from the family account. The family account will work even if students are attending different school buildings in the district.

The food service program is run through Skyward. Login information for Skyward is sent out through the main office of the school your child/ren attend. Families are able to access their accounts to see what the current balance is, what purchases have been made, and make payments online. Please make sure when you give an email address that it is one that is accessed on a regular basis as low balance notices will go to the first email address that is given on the registration form. If your current balance goes below $10.00, you will receive an email notification. This means a payment must be sent within the next 5 days.
