NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO FILL A BOARD VACANCY IN AREA I
(THE CITY AND TOWN OF DURAND)
The Durand-Arkansaw School District (DASD) Board of Education announced that applications are being accepted to fill a vacancy in Area I, which covers the City and Town of Durand.
Any citizen of voting age residing within the geographic area of the vacancy is encouraged to apply. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026. The vacancy occurred due to the resignation of board member Cathy Asher.
The vacancy will be filled in accordance with state law and DASD policies and procedures. The Board intends to conduct interviews of interested candidates in late September. The seat will be up for election on the April 2027 ballot for a two-year term.
