We had a very special guest visit our CWES 4th graders this week! Nick Carletta, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service (NOAA) in Chanhassen, spent the day teaching our students all about the science of weather.

🎉📚🤩 2nd Grade's March Book Madness has officially wrapped up and what a month it was! After all the reading, voting, and cheering, Don’t Trust Fish swam its way to the top as our 2026 March Book Madness Champion!

A big thank you to retired Durand-Arkansaw history teacher, Mr. Zika, for visiting the Caddie Woodlawn 2nd Graders! They have been learning about the United States Civil War and who better to teach them more about these historical events than a local expert?!
Mr. Zika brought amazing Civil War artifacts and shared engaging stories about local regiments that truly brought history to life. We are so grateful for the time and passion he shared with the students! #DASD
