NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO FILL A BOARD VACANCY IN AREA IV (Towns
of Maxville, Nelson, Modena, and Section 19, 29, 30, 31 and 32 of the Town of Canton, and the Village of Nelson)
The Durand-Arkansaw School District (DASD) Board of Education announced that applications are being accepted to fill a vacancy in Area IV, which covers the Towns of Maxville, Nelson, Modena, and Section 19, 29, 30, 31 and 32 of the Town of Canton, and the Village of Nelson.
Any citizen of voting age residing within the geographic area of the vacancy is encouraged to apply. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. The vacancy occurred due to the resignation of board member Jason Weisenbeck from this
elected area.
The vacancy will be filled in accordance with state law and DASD policies and procedures. The board intends to conduct interviews of interested candidates following the application
deadline. The seat will be up for election on the April 2027 ballot for a one-year term.

🐾🏐The time has come, playoffs are here! The Durand-Arkansaw Panthers travel to Neillsville to take on the Warriors in a regional quarterfinal matchup. Winner of the match will travel to Fall Creek to take on the one seed. Go Panthers!🐾🏐 #DASD
On Saturday, the Durand-Arkansaw High School Marching Band traveled to UW-Whitewater for the first time EVER to perform at the WSMA State Marching Band Competition.
This performance was the culmination of over a month and a half of hard work and dedication by the students to make this the best show possible.
They had an awesome last performance and set a new standard for the marching band program! Congratulations!
