First and second graders learned about electrical safety last week. Riverland Energy demonstrated what happens when you go near power lines or power boxes. They learned about safety signs on posts and electrical boxes. The boom truck was a hit. They also saw all the equipment needed to fix power lines, and everyone even got a pair of cool sunglasses to watch the boom truck go up, up, up! Thank you Riverland Energy!!

🥁The Durand-Arkansaw High School Marching Band honored those who gave the ultimate sacrifice by playing at the Eau Galle and Durand Memorial Day services. A special 'thank you' to Jace Ridgeway for playing taps at both ceremonies! 🎺

🪺4th grade students are excited to share that all 5 bluebird eggs have hatched, and there are 5 healthy nestlings! The other nest box has been inhabited by black capped chickadees who have laid 5 eggs. 🎉

💧Kindergartners took a walk to the water tower on Thursday! Trevor Myers, a Public Works employee, showed students how they flush out all the fire hydrants around the city. Then he took them up and into the water tower they see every day while on the playground. Students saw where the water is pumped up to the water tower. The best part was going inside the bottom of the tower! Thank you, City Workers for all you do and taking the time to show the Caddie kindergartners. 💦
