We want to extend a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to the wonderful Mrs. Hermann!
As a retired teacher and paraprofessional, Mrs. Hermann has already given so much to our school community over the years. But recently, she went above and beyond to bring a wave of fresh excitement to our students by single-handedly making a brand-new playground feature a reality.
Thanks to her incredible generosity, Caddie Woodlawn now has a fully stocked sandbox area!
Mrs. Hermann didn't just fund this project—she put her heart into it and made the whole thing happen from start to finish. Seeing the smiles on the students' faces as they create, dig, and play is a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact she continues to have on our school.
Here are some photos of our summer school students enjoying the sand box this week! 🪣🌞

Students had the opportunity to Zoom with beekeeper Stephanie from New Roots Farm. They learned all about bees, where they live, how they help our environment, and the process of making honey. They also got to try some honey from Stephanie’s honey collection.
A huge thank you to Stephanie for sharing her knowledge and helping our third graders discover just how amazing and important bees are! 💛🐝

The first video shows one project being built equation by equation. Every image that follows was created using the same process.
These projects required mathematics, creativity, persistence, and an incredible amount of attention to detail.
I'm incredibly proud of what these students accomplished this year ~Mrs. Falkner
