🎉🦃 Durand-Arkansaw MS/HS First Annual Teacher Trot! 🥧🎉

Third Graders had a chance to participate in a Turkey Trot to kick off their Thanksgiving break. They enjoyed different relay games, Thanksgiving drawing and coloring, turkey multiplication and a Thanksgiving escape room! They had a lot of fun during the different turkey trot stations!

Mrs.Brenner's third graders and Mrs.Winter's first graders spent some time on Friday making a fun turkey snack and playing a game together. Happy Thanksgiving!

Fifth grade is studying about the power of the Sun in ELA and Science. They made and enjoyed some Sun tea last week.

🦃 The Pilgrims came to visit! 🦃 🐾Mrs. Rosemeyer’s class enjoyed a Friends-giving before break. 🥧

Mrs. Schade's classroom recipe of the week: Dirt Cups! We even had a special visitor join us from Caddie Woodlawn so he could get a glimpse of what middle school will look like next year!

📢📢📢 After much anticipation, it is time to announce this year’s musical!📢📢📢
A person’s a person no matter how small
Isn’t that what’s important, after all?
A cat in a hat, an elephant too
The stage will be bright, with colors of blue
A decade later, we appear with the same
A cool musical that has a fun name!
Although it is crazy, please give it a chance
For you will have fun as you sing and dance!
We're proud to announce this year’s musical,
For the show we are doing is Seussical!
More information later to take,
Thank you for reading, have a great break!

Congratulations to our very own Junior Achievement volunteer, Theresa Zirbel- Senior Market Manager of Associated Bank, who was recognized last night at the Junior Achievement gala, as the 2023 Volunteer Hero of the Year award! Third-grade teacher, Mrs. Unser, nominated Theresa for her dedication to teaching important life financial management and planning skills to her classroom. Special thanks to Theresa, and all of the Junior Achievement volunteers for their commitment to our students and the impactful work being done. We are proud to partner with the JA program!

Happy American Education Week!

🐾Mrs. Schade and Mr. Boigenzahn have spent the last two days learning and networking at the WI Special Education Conference. The highlight of the conference has definitely been the keynote speakers, Matthew & Mitchell LaBerge (and their mom, Julie), twins who are living with Autism. Listening to them share their experiences from childhood through their adult lives was very inspiring and insightful!🐾
