🌞Last week, members of our National Honor Society took part in our annual highway clean-up along Hwy. 10 east of Durand, helping care for the stretch of roadway our chapter has adopted between Rustad Lane and Brunner Road.
We are proud of these students for giving back to the community through service and stewardship. Their willingness to volunteer their time reflects the leadership, responsibility, and commitment to service that are central to NHS.
Thank you to our NHS students for helping keep our community looking its best and representing the Durand-Arkansaw School District in such a positive way! 🎉

🍕🕶️ Mr. Miller's and Mrs. Hestekin's 2nd Grade Classes want to send a huge thank you to the NTEC Junior Achievement volunteers they had this spring! Thank you Mary Bauer, Jeni Whitwam, and Sydney Hulback for spending time with the 2nd Graders and strengthening the connection between our school and community through such valuable lessons! The students had a wonderful time learning from people making a difference right here in our community.
We also want to thank NTEC and Alex's Pizza for the awesome sunglasses and pizza party; the kids absolutely loved it! 😎
The future is looking so bright, we had to wear shades!

So proud of these Caddie Woodlawn girls and all they accomplished during their very first Girls on the Run season! 💜
This season was about so much more than running! It was about building confidence, practicing positive self-talk, encouraging others, and learning they can do hard things! Watching them grow each week and cross the 5K finish line was such a special moment for the coaching team! Thank you to Coach Ali, Coach Amanda, Coach Amy, Coach Glenna, and Coach Jess for all the prep and work you put into the season!
