Firefighter Trevor and Firefighter Mark from the Durand Fire Department stopped by on Tuesday to teach students about fire safety and show off their awesome new ladder truck! 🚒 A few brave teachers even took a ride up 90 feet in the ladder bucket!

Kindergarten, First and Second grade students had fun seeing the protective gear they wear and learned important lessons, including practicing their address and establishing a safe meeting spot in the yard in case of a home fire.

Huge thanks to the Fire Department for providing a hat and activity book for every student! 🔥 #DASD

🌟Two students from each grade level were selected by their teachers as the Star Students of the Month for showing exceptional positive behavior at school. 🌟
🎨Mrs. Anabas's kindergarteners earned the Art Class of the Month award 🎉

🎵Mrs. Lamm's 1st graders won Music Class of the Month🎉

🥁The Durand-Arkansaw High School Marching Band finished off their season on Saturday with an awesome performance at the Chippewa Falls Marching Competition!

📚🥔Mrs. Hestekin's 2nd Grade class had a special visit from the superintendent, Mr. Nelson! He joined them for their community circle and then read The Couch Potato, leading to a wonderful discussion about how important it is to step away from screens and enjoy the world and people around us. Mr. Nelson - thank you for your time and for the meaningful conversation you led with the students! 🥔📚
